Hebrews 10:25
“Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching.”

LET’S TALK
Lately, there’s been a subtle but dangerous idea orchestrated by Satan—that you don’t need to be part of a church to serve God. This is a deceptive strategy to pull Christians away from the support and systems God designed for families.

Think about it: In God’s design, children are placed under guardians and teachers until they mature. The Bible says in Galatians 4:1-2 KJV, “Now I say, That the heir, as long as he is a child…is under tutors and governors until the time appointed of the father.” The same principle applies spiritually. God created the church as a family where you’re guided, strengthened, and protected in your faith. Walking away from that covering leaves you vulnerable to attacks, discouragement, and confusion.

Some people believe that simply watching sermons online or hopping between churches is enough. But that’s not God’s design. Church isn’t just about attending—it’s about belonging. A strong, committed church family provides spiritual stability, accountability, and a place to grow in your Christian Walk. That’s why Hebrews 10:25 warns us, “Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some…”

King David understood this when he said, “I was glad when they said to me, let us go into the house of the Lord.” (Psalm 122:1). He recognized the joy and blessing of being planted in God’s house. So don’t fall for the lie that church doesn’t matter. Stay connected, stay committed, and encourage others to do the same. You’re meant to thrive in the family of God!

Not forsaking or neglecting to assemble together [as believers], as is the habit of some people, but admonishing (warning, urging, and encouraging) one another, and all the more faithfully as you see the day approaching.

Ephesians 4:11-13
And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; 12 For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ: 13 Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:

1 Timothy 3:15
But if I tarry long, that thou mayest know how thou oughtest to behave thyself in the house of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and ground of the truth.

SPEAK
Dear Father, I recognise the Church as the pillar and ground of truth. I value and actively engage in the fellowship and teaching provided by the Church; thus, I’m edified, instructed, built up and nurtured unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
