LET’S TALK
One day, God, through an angel, spoke to a woman called Mary and said, ”…behold, you will conceive in your womb and bring forth a Son, and shall call His name Jesus” (Luke 1:31). When God speaks, His Word is the life of whatever He says. In other words, His Word is the life-carrying faculty of God. His Word has the life of the message that it carries; it becomes whatever it says. If the Word is a message of healing, for example, it’ll carry healing in it. No wonder Jesus likened the Word of God to seed (Luke 8:11). Every seed reproduces after its kind; what you sow is what you reap.
In the same way, when you read your Bible, you’re not just studying for a religious test or checking a box for your morning routine; you’re receiving “living code” that can reprogramme your mindset, your habits, your confidence, and even your future. The Word that God spoke to Mary literally manifested as Jesus; this is why Jesus is the Son of God. He wasn’t born from a human process; He was born from the Word that God spoke. You can’t separate God from His Word. So, the life inside baby Jesus was the life of the Word, and the life of the Word is the life of the Speaker—Almighty God.
Until Jesus was born, nobody ever knew or saw Him. The angels never saw anyone in heaven called Jesus. They only knew the Word. That’s why John said, “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God (John 1:1), then in the fourteenth verse, he said, “and the Word became flesh and dwelt among us.”Jesus was the Word of God tabernacled in human flesh. Every move He made was the Word in action, and that was why He was such a wonder. The Word became flesh and dwelt amongst us, and we beheld His glory.
