For if by the one man’s offense death reigned through the one, much more those who receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ. (Romans 5:17)
God is righteous; righteousness is His nature. Think about it: God can never be wrong. He’s always just, right, and perfect. That’s why He’s God! And you know what’s amazing? You’re just like Him! He gave you His nature of righteousness the moment you were born again. It’s His free gift to all His children.
For example, Abraham was called righteous because he believed God (Genesis 15:6). Righteousness gave him boldness to walk with God and receive His blessings.
That’s what righteousness does for you too—it gives you the confidence to stand before God without fear, guilt, or shame. So, never think or feel unworthy of God’s blessings and goodness because you’re God’s righteousness in Christ Jesus!
SCRIPTURE READING
Romans 8:1-4
There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. 2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death. 3 For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh: 4 That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
LET’S PRAY
Dear loving Father, thank you, for giving me the gift of righteousness to stand before you without fear or guilt. Therefore, I’m bold and confident every day because your nature is in me. Hallelujah!
