TO THE BIBLE:
1 John 5:4 NKJV
“For whatsoever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith.”
LET’S TALK
As a child, your parents made decisions for you. They decided where you lived, what school you went to, and even what food you ate. Even the Lord Jesus experienced this. For instance, when He was born, He was laid in a manger—not by His choice, but by His parents’ decision. Later, when Herod sought to kill Him, the angel did not speak to Jesus but to Joseph, saying, “…arise, take the young Child and His mother, flee to Egypt”(Matthew 2:13 NKJV). The Lord Jesus did not decide this; He was carried along as a child.
Even as He grew, He remained subject to Joseph and Mary. But when He became a man, He took responsibility for His own life and purpose. Moses also, when he came of age, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh’s daughter (Hebrews 11:24). In the same way, you must take charge of your life. Over the years, I have taught God’s people all around the world that though you may not have been responsible for the family into which you were born, nor for the circumstances that surrounded your birth, you are absolutely responsible for the life you choose to live when you come to maturity and the age of accountability.
You can’t allow your environment, the economy, or the opinions of others dictate how you live. Choose victory every day. Determine to succeed in all that you do because that is the life you have in Christ. The Bible says, “But thanks be to God, Who in Christ always leads us in triumph [as trophies of Christ’s victory] and through us spreads and makes evident the fragrance of the knowledge of God everywhere” (2 Corinthians 2:14 AMPC). And again, “For whatever is born of God is victorious over the world…” (1 John 5:4 AMPC).
You’re born of God and have overcome the world. You’re victorious in Christ. Therefore, choose to live victoriously every day. Live above the systems of this world.

Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? [shall] tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? 36 As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter. 37 Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.”
SPEAK
I take responsibility for my life. I refuse to allow circumstances, background, or human opinions to dictate my destiny. I live daily in triumph, success, and the glory of God, for Christ in me is my victory and my life of excellence. I’m in charge and in control of my life and circumstances; I live by faith and create my own world of success and prosperity, in line with your perfect will, dear Father. Hallelujah!
