TO THE BIBLE:
2 Corinthians 5:17
“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.”
LET’S TALK
The Lord Jesus sent us to share the Gospel—the good news! It’s not exactly good news when all you know or hear is “God is going to change things for you”; that’s hope. The good news is that things have already changed! So stop waiting for a change—it’s done! Hallelujah!
What about sin? That’s not your problem anymore. You’ve been justified and called to walk in newness of life: “Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life” (Romans 6:4).
When you were born again, the sin nature was supplanted by God’s nature of righteousness. You’re the righteousness of God in Christ. You don’t have to struggle to be free from sin; you’ve been given a sin-free nature. This is the reality of one who’s born again. You didn’t do anything to achieve any of these; it’s simply the result of what Christ has done, and that’s good news. Hallelujah!

2 Corinthians 5:17-21
Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. 18 And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation; 19 To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation. 20 Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ’s stead, be ye reconciled to God. 21 For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.
Ephesians 2:4-9
But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, 5 Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;) 6 And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus: 7 That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus. 8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: 9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.
SPEAK
I continually walk in the reality of my heritage and identity in Christ. I’m righteous, healthy, prosperous and victorious. I walk in the newness of life, enjoying the fullness of the blessings of Christ.
