And when they had prayed… the place… was shaken; and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and they spoke the word of God with boldness. Acts 4:36
After Peter and John healed the lame man, the leaders warned them never to speak or teach in the Name of Jesus again. But instead of being afraid, they gathered with the other disciples and prayed. They asked God for boldness to keep preaching the Gospel.
As they prayed, the whole place shook! But that shaking wasn’t God’s answer. God’s real answer was the Holy Spirit. The Bible says they were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and then they spoke God’s Word with boldness (Acts 4:31). Hallelujah!
That’s how God answers you, too. Whatever you ask for—help, courage, or even money—His Spirit gives you wisdom and boldness. Remember when Jesus and Peter needed to pay tax? Jesus knew exactly where the money was—in the mouth of a fish—because the Holy Spirit guided Him (Matthew 17:24–27). God didn’t drop money from the sky; He gave wisdom, and that wisdom brought the answer!
That’s why praying in other tongues and listening to the Holy Spirit are so important. He guides you every day.
