I, the LORD, search the heart, I test the mind, even to give every man according to his ways, according to the fruit of his doings.(Jeremiah 17:10).
When you serve God or help others, what matters most is not only what you do but why you do it. God looks beyond outward actions—He searches the heart.
In 1 Samuel 16, when Samuel came to Jesse’s house to anoint a new king, he saw tall and strong sons who looked like kings. But God didn’t choose any of them. Then young David was called in. Though he didn’t look like a king, God said, “This is the one!” Why? Because David’s heart pleased the Lord (Acts 13:22 CEV).
This shows us that God doesn’t judge by appearance—He values the heart. So, in all you do, choose to walk in love, humility, and sincerity. Let kindness and faithfulness fill your heart—that’s what delights God most.
