“My heart was hot within me, while I was musing, the fire burned. Then I spoke with my tongue” (Psalm 39:3).
Have you ever been so excited about something that you couldn’t keep it yourself? That’s how it feels when God’s Word fills your heart: it sets a fire inside you! You become so full of joy and passion that you can’t stay quiet about it.
In the Bible, Prophet Jeremiah said he didn’t want to talk about God anymore. But God’s Word was like fire shut up in his bones! He couldn’t keep silent; he just had to speak (Jeremiah 20:9).
The same fire comes alive in you when you study God’s Word. As you meditate on it and speak it to yourself, you become bolder, more joyful, and full of God’s power to share His love with more people. So go ahead—get fired up.
