Martha was busy doing many things, but her sister, Mary , sat with Jesus to listen and learn from Him. Jesus commended Mary for choosing the best thing—the Word!
Don’t get so busy with schoolwork, games, or chores that you forget what matters most— spending time with God and His Word. The Word of God is your spiritual food and your strength. Just as your body needs food to grow strong, your spirit needs God’s Word to grow too!
The Bible says in Joshua 1:8 that when we study and meditate on God’s Word, we’ll have good success! So, every day, take time to pray, read your Bible, and listen to what God is saying to you. That’s how to live a joyful, peaceful and successful life.
