LET’S TALK
In Christianity, there’s a way of life, but Christianity itself is more than just a way of life—it’s a relationship with God. When we lead others to Christ, it’s important not to leave them on their own. They need guidance. That’s why it’s crucial to connect them to a local church where they can be nurtured in their faith and learn how to live the Christian life.

Salvation is only the starting point. New converts need to understand that they have to grow and mature spiritually, and that growth comes by learning God’s Word. The Bible says in 1 Timothy 3:15, “…the church of the living God, the pillar and ground of the truth.” So, the Church is the place to learn the Word of God.

Just like babies need milk to grow, new converts need the Word of God. As 1 Peter 2:2 KJV says, “As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby.” But growth doesn’t happen only through teaching—it also comes through observation. In the church, they can watch how mature Christians pray, worship, and live out their faith in real-life situations.

By being part of a church, they’ll learn how to worship God and sing the right songs; they learn how to conduct themselves with decency; they learn how to apply their faith in the face of belligerent challenges. The same Spirit lives in them and causes them to do the things that we do. When you win souls, don’t stop at sharing the Gospel. Pray for them, follow up, and make sure they’re firmly planted in a local church where they become rooted and grounded in the faith and established in the Word. Hallelujah!

And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; 12 For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ: 13 Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ: 14 That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;

And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works: 25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.

Colossians 3:16
Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.

1 Thessalonians 5:11
Wherefore comfort yourselves together, and edify one another, even as also ye do.

PRAY
Dear Father, I pray for new converts all over the world today, that Christ be formed in their hearts; they’re rooted and grounded in God’s overwhelming love, being fully persuaded that in Christ alone lies their joy and total fulfilment. I declare that they’re strengthened to become effective witnesses of Christ’s love and truth in the world, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
