TO THE BIBLE
Romans 4:24-25
“But also for us. It shall be imputed to us who believe in Him who raised up Jesus our Lord from the dead, who was delivered up because of our offenses, and was raised because of our justification.”
LET’S TALK
In our previous study, we learnt that being the righteousness of God in Christ means we are living proof of God’s fairness and grace. But there’s something even more profound to understand about what Jesus accomplished for us.
Romans 4:25 reveals an incredible truth: Jesus wasn’t just crucified for our sins. He was raised from the dead so we could be justified. This is much deeper than forgiveness alone. Justification means that God declares us innocent, as if we had never sinned at all.
This is almost too amazing for the human mind to grasp. Naturally, we’d expect God to say, “You’ve been forgiven.” But instead, He says, “You are not guilty.” That’s what makes the Gospel so powerful and so full of grace. Some people hear it and don’t understand it. How is it that I never sinned? It’s the result of Christ’s redemptive work.
Romans 5:1 says, “Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.” This is the beauty of your salvation. You are not merely a forgiven sinner; you are the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus. You have been justified, made right before God, and set at peace with Him. Do you know why? Because you’re born again, you’re a new creature.
When you received Christ, you became a new creation. 2 Corinthians 5:17 says, “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.” The new creation never sinned because he’s a brand-new species that never existed before. Blessed be God!

For if because of one man’s trespass (lapse, offense) death reigned through that one, much more surely will those who receive [God’s] overflowing grace (unmerited favor) and the free gift of righteousness [putting them into right standing with Himself] reign as kings in life through the one Man Jesus Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed One).
Romans 3:26 AMPC
It was to demonstrate and prove at the present time (in the now season) that He Himself is righteous and that He justifies and accepts as righteous him who has [true] faith in Jesus.
2 Corinthians 5:21
For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.
SPEAK
The resurrection of Jesus Christ has made me a new creature, the very righteousness of God in Christ, justified and sin-free. I walk in the light of this truth, manifesting the glory of God and spreading the good news of His overflowing grace to others.
