When Jesus was tempted by the devil, He didn’t argue or get afraid. Instead, He answered with God’s Word. Each time the devil tried to tempt Him, Jesus said, “It is written,” and quoted Scripture (Matthew 4:1-11).
Jesus knew the Word of God, and that helped Him stand strong. This teaches us something important. When you know God’s Word, you can use it to stand against wrong thoughts, fear, and temptation.
God’s Word gives your faith direction and strength. As you learn and speak it, you’ll always have the wisdom and courage to make the right choices.
