Prayer is a special time to talk with the Lord. It’s not the time to think about school activities, food, or games. That’s why, when you pray, God wants your heart and mind focused on Him.
This helps you connect better with God and enjoy His presence. If distracting thoughts come, refuse them in Jesus’Name and bring your mind back to Him. You can also think on God’s Word while you pray.
As you learn to focus during prayer, it becomes easier to hear from God more clearly and see your prayer produce results.

LET’S PRAY
Dear loving Father, thank you for the blessing of praying in the Spirit. As I pray, I refuse distraction; instead, I focus my mind on your Word, in Jesus’Name. Amen.
