For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him. 2 Corinthians 5:21
God did something wonderful for us through Jesus. Jesus never sinned, but He took our place so we could become righteous before God. This means that when you receive Jesus, God sees you as clean, accepted, and right with Him.
You’re not trying to become righteous by your own efforts—God has already made you righteous in Christ. That’s a beautiful gift! Because of this, you can come to God with joy and confidence.
Always remember who you are in Christ: a child of God who has been made righteous through Jesus.
