TO THE BIBLE
1 Corinthians 6:20
“For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s.”

Mia: “Why can’t I just do what I want? It’s my life!”
Jake: “Actually, it’s not. Jesus bought you with something far more expensive than money. You belong to Him now—your body, your choices, and your essence all belong to Him.” The Bible says, ”you were not redeemed with corruptible things, like silver or gold… but with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot” (1 Peter 1:18-19). If you’re born again, you don’t own yourself. God paid a high price for you, the blood of His Son Jesus. Therefore, as the Bible says, you ought to glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are His. You ought to serve Him diligently and with wholehearted devotion by submitting yourself to His Lordship. You ought to consecrate yourself to Him.
Some people act like they’re the boss of their lives, scrolling, hanging out, or doing whatever feels right, but if you follow Jesus, He’s the CEO of your life, even in your school, friendships, and online world. Your choices, opinions and lifestyle must conform to God’s will as expressed in His Word. Understand that God knows how to take care of what belongs to Him. Since He owns you, it’s His responsibility to protect, keep, bless, help, promote and provide for you. But it’s your responsibility to serve, reverence, and commit your entire being to Him.
When you confessed Jesus as Lord of your life, He became the Lord of your spirit, your soul and your body. You don’t belong to yourself, your friends, or even your followers on social media; you belong to Jesus. You can only do what He wants you to do and go where He wants you to go. The Lord Jesus demands your complete allegiance and unwavering commitment to His will. You’re only permitted to pursue His plans and purposes for your life, for you no longer have a life of your own! He is your life (Colossians 3:4); you’re His property; He bought you with a price.

SPEAK
Dear Lord Jesus, yours I am and yours I’ll forever be, spirit, soul and body! You’re my life, and I rejoice that I belong to the most sublime and greatest personality that there could ever be. Thank you for paying such a high price for my salvation. I pledge my life to you.

Then write down one instruction from God’s Word you’ll consciously follow today (in your speech, attitude, or decisions) and act on it before the day ends.
