Do what God’s word says. Don’t merely listen to it… James 1:22 GW
God’s Word shows you who you are, what you have, and how to live as His child. But the blessing comes when you do what the Word says, not just hear it.
James 1:23-25 explains this by talking about a mirror. When you look in a mirror, you see your face clearly. But imagine walking away and instantly forgetting what you look like that would be strange! That’s what happens when someone hears the Word but doesn’t act on it.
To do the Word is to practice what God says about you. The more you practice it, the more you grow, shine, and enjoy God’s blessings.
So, today, decide to be a doer of God’s Word!

LET’S PRAY
Dear loving Father, I thank you for your Word. As I study it, I act on it, and the blessings are seen in my studies, family, and everything about me, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
