There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear. 1 John 4:18
Some children allow fear to stop them from doing what is right or from trusting God. They may be afraid of failing an examination or worried about what might happen in the future. But as a child of God, fear has no place in you. The Bible says you have the Spirit of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7).
Remember Daniel in the Bible? When the king commanded everyone to pray only to him, Daniel wasn’t afraid. He continued praying to God just as he always did. Even when he was thrown into the lions’ den, Daniel trusted God completely—and God delivered him! (Daniel 6:12-23).
So don’t let fear of anything control you. God is with you and lives in you. You’re never alone and never afraid. Hallelujah!
