Beware that you do not forget the Lord your God by not keeping His commandments, His judgments, and His statutes which I command you today. Deuteronomy 8:11
Sometimes, children can get so busy with school, work, or fun things that they forget what’s most important-serving the Lord! God wants you to always put Him first in everything you do.
The children of Israel once forgot about God’s commandments after He had blessed them with good things. They became too busy and started following other things that took their attention away from God (Judges 2:10-13). That’s why God reminds us not to forget Him, or what He’s called us to do.
As God’s child, your number one priority is loving the Lord, sharing His Word with others, and living for Him every day. When you do these, everything else—your studies, family, and dreams—will go right, because God takes care of those who put Him first.

Dear Lord, thank you for helping me remember what matters most—serving you, sharing your love, and living for your glory every day. I keep my heart focused on your Word and your Kingdom always, in Jesus’ Name. Amen!
